Biogas Pond (Black Membrane): Biogas ponds use 1.0-1.5mm virgin black HDPE for both bottom and top membranes (top never below 1.0mm, carbon black 2.0-3.0%). Build the bottom liner first, test it, charge manure, then stretch the top cover into crest anchor trenches with ballast, gas valves and pressure gauges; pipe penetrations get extrusion welds with double patches, and the cover passes a gas-tightness test before operation.
